I know this goes against the idea of the wander as my journey began and ended within five metres or so, but I felt that a trip around my garden on a sunny day in May was just the thing to get away from the monotony of computer operating. Thanks go to Thom for allowing me to tarnish this site with my meanderings.
We begin with a purple flower that is growing at the foot of a crab apple tree.
We have lots of Rhododendrons in our garden (I believe they were planted when the house was built) in various colours.
The more astute amongst you will notice that this Dragon Fly is not real. It belongs to my son who has given it the name 'Mr Dragonfly' - I admire the simplicity in that.
Bees do not like to be photographed... or perhaps I am not adept at capturing them on camera.
As Wombat37 has commented, we have a very clean birdfeeder.
These mushrooms are made from some kind of pot and make 'tinkly' sounds when the breeze catches them.
Look closely - there is an ant in this picture (and a green beasty).
This fence has seen better days which gives it a nice texture to photograph. I think a strong gust of wind may take it down for me in the not too distant future.
Lastly, a spider at home on the shed waiting for unsuspecting flies to become dinner.
Thanks for reading my post :)
